circa 1949, worn by actress Angelica Huston.Opening Tuesday, December 9 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is an exhibit of jewelry by famed artist Alexander Calder. While Calder is best known for his mobiles, he also produced about 1800 unique pieces of brass, silver, and gold jewelry. The exhibit will feature about 90 pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, and tiaras. The exhibit runs through March 1, 2009.
