Weekend Eye Candy - Bette Davis
My all-time favorite actress, Bette Davis, as Mildred Rogers in Of Human Bondage. The film was released in 1934 when Davis was just 26 years old. This was her 23rd film role in a career that had begun only 3 years earlier.

guh Leslie Howard is my favorite. Bette is beautiful in this pic but it's him I can't stop looking at
Yes, he's quite the handsome devil and makes a perfect backdrop to Bette.
She is my all time favorite as well! She was also my mom's favorite, and I owe my adoration to many late nights of movie watching with her. How did she become your favorite?

Awesome picture, there's something really intense about it. Think I will have to watch this film..
I first fell in love with Bette when watching "Essex and Elizabeth" as a teenager. She played an incredible queen, even though her visage was very unattractive in this film. Then came "Dark Victory" and "Now, Voyager". She can do no wrong.
This picture of Bette is a perfect example of really pinning down a character through styling. She exudes the bitterness & hardness of this character with a look! Bette is awesome, but Leslie is my favorite! I wish there were more movies with him to enjoy. Another great one with Bette and Leslie is "The Petrified Forest." Don't miss that one. It has Bogart as well...what a powerful cast!
