Summer Dresses - 1970

In a fast 5 years, we've seen mini lengths rule the day. Mod looks are still popular. Paris runways are starting to loose their influence, as women begin to watch the youth and their "street style". Designers wanted us to embrace the midi, but most of us still wore the mini. Here, dresses for hot summer days from 1970.

Jean Patou Boutique, green cotton dress with raffia fringe.

Courreges midi length dress with large multi-colored vinyl bubble appliques.

Nina Ricci red and white polka dot silk dress with a swirl of ruffles.

Jean Patou Pret-a-Porter green linen dress banded in white.

Pierre Cardin Boutique yellow cotton dress with bare midriff.
