Suits were an important part of every woman's wardrobe back in the day. Women would often buy a new suit for Easter and then wear it for years and years. These incredible feats of tailoring are from 1962. Do you wear suits?
Christian Dior
Lanvin-Castillo
Pierre Cardin
Pierre Balmain
Yves St. Laurent, from his first collection for his own label.
I pretty much wear only suits, at least during the day. I find them easy to wear, and just love the way you can accessorise them. I totally WANT that first Christian Dior- it is perfection!
I love a good vintage suit! I just got my first (which you can see here http://rosiealia.blogspot.com/2011/01/my-new-old-1940s-suit.html), and I love it! Vintage 40's and so useful! Love the above pictures, especially the Pierre Cardin one! xx

Louise, you can't beat vintage suits for quality! They are so much better than anything that is made today. I hope you wear vintage!

Gosh, I love that top one. I recall my mom wearing something like that in the early 70s. I would wear it.
I used to wear suits much more than I do now, but I still have several in my closet.
One great way to get more wear out of a vintage suit is to pair the jacket with jeans. So stylish!
