Weekend Eye Candy - Pierre Cardin Diffusion, 1975

Two evening gowns from Pierre Cardin's Diffusion line for spring 1975.  Both gowns are made of brightly colored silks and, while vastly different, I love them both.  How about you?

Ooooo.. the 70s were fabulous! I was only 12 in '75, but i loved the clothes and the hairstyles. I had a 'Dorothy Hamill' haircut, of course. :) But the EARLY 70s! They were da bomb! I had.. (in fourth grade,) a pair of the most awesome seersucker bellbottoms...

I would have definitely wore these. The purple is cut to low for me today, but I love the print and I love the cut of the orange one, love orange too. So, I will take the purple fabric in the orange design if you please!

Very interesting . . . almost anything past the early 60's turns me off. I remember as a child how beautifully my mother and aunt and their friends dressed with such elegance. Years go by and keep waiting for loveliness to come back in style (hats, gloves, beautiful dresses) never happens - though with Couture Allure and others grace and style is achievable though it takes much study and determination. Well worth the cost.
