Weekend Eye Candy - Robert Piguet, 1950

Wrapping up a week of #IWouldWearYellow, this gorgeous evening gown by Robert Piguet is from his Spring, 1950 collection.  A shorter skirt of tulle ruffles peeks out beneath the deeper yellow silk faille drape.

Gorgeous eye candy! My eyes love it as much as my taste buds love a yummy spoon full of butterscotch pudding. And the color here is perfection! :)

Beautiful color and beautiful drapery, but before I read the description, I thought the underskirt was ruffly bloomers or pettibreeches, which wouldn't have been very 1950s at all.
