Is she stashing extra sandwiches for lunch under there? Just in case you were wondering, this is not a maternity outfit!
If our previous model was hiding sandwiches, just think what this one could stash under her shirt! An entire buffet dinner, perhaps?
Stirrup pants were a crime against humanity. But stirrup pants in paisley? Even worse. And you know there was some woman somewhere who wore the paisley shirt with the paisley stirrup pants and thought she was somethin'.
Finally, in our men's department, no one should have to look at this shirt. I don't care if it is Izod. Adding the matching belt just makes it worse.UPDATE: Come on over to Couture Allure's Facebook page. I'll be posting more awful 80s fashion throughout the day!

Number 4 is my favorite. I was really hoping it was a full length knitted dress though, not just a sweater dress. *tear* :)
Agreed-- but vintage Izod with the alligator decal, brings "rapture" to a collector's heart. I guess for some reason the old ones are considered collectible.
Laugh not -- these will come back!
I'd forgotten how figure-hiding the styles in the 80s could be!
LOL! Those are truly crimes against fashion!
Holy Crow, is that Stephanie Seymour in the piggies???!
If so that pic is worth some kind of blackmail money lol!
Wow, it might be, Christa. The image came from a 1985 Sakowitz catalog.
I was a teenager in the 80's an sported a lot of these looks! I was laughing this morning thank you!
Well I happen to think you posted at least one good look from the 80s, I really like what the girl in the yellow Izod sweater is wearing!
Is number 3 a Laise Adzer (sp) outfit? I haven't seen that line in years. Even though I'm only5'3" and have no shoulders, salespeople in the eighties were always trying to drap that stuff all over me.
And number 4, what do those earrings have to do with that outfit? Weird.
I have a lot of my Ralph Lauren stuff from the eighties packed a way and a lot of it is still very nice. I did fairly high end interior design in the 80s ( a ghastly time for that activity as well) and I had companies get upset that I wasn't dressing in a more contemporary fashion but I just couldn't do it. I think Anne Klein was about as far out there as I got. Ugly time.
How long does it take for fashions past to look classic or charming? I am even liking the 1970's harvest gold and avocado green and brown color palette, but the clothes of the 1980s still make me shudder. Do we need forty years? I don't believe I will ever love those clothes.
I am in Portland, OR and odd as it may seem.... the 80's are in FULL effect here. I blame it on all the American Apparel stores and eager hipsters; maybe the water? We definitely get a lot of young 20-somethings asking for dayglo and stirrup pants at the shop!
