Friday Fur - Vintage Fox Jacket, 1948

From 1948, Marron Furrier in Paris offered this darling jacket in silver fox fur.  I thought at first that this was a capelet, but it looks like those are true sleeves.  Interesting how the short length allows you to show off your tiny waist!

That's a really awesome vintage coat. The fur coat was really “the” fashion statement back then. Only the most sophisticated women could pull off the fur coat look and though it looks a bit bulky, their figure is still plenty visible, depending on what dress they were wearing. I think that those women who wear vintage today are those who have a deep sense of style.
