Fox fur, that is. Pierre Cardin showed this fox trimmed white wool felt hood with many different looks for Fall/Winter 1966.


He also showed a white fox fur coat...
...and a cape trimmed at collar and hem.
I love the white, but this orange dyed fox vest captures my heart. Tha-thump. Tha-thump.

Some of this garnment were available as Vogue patterns: the second picture is Vogue 1712 and the fourth is Vogue 1694
Those helmet-hood things are Cardin's version of the futuristic "space helmet" headwear that were popular with designers in the mid-60s, an era that featured lots of stark, Space Age white and metallic silver. Some fashion writers of the time referred to it as the "moon girl" look.
