Shoes - 1946

I love these shoes. I love them more than any shoe I could buy today. I love them more than my comfiest flats. I love them more than my black booties that I can wear all day when shopping at the mall. I love them more than my leopard print pumps that jazz up my little black dress. Made by Newton Elkins in black, red, blue, tan, or gray suede with studs, I love these shoes from 1946. Anybody have a time machine I can borrow?

It's funny. I looked at a report of the shoes from New York fashion week this morning, then came back to these. Nothing modern compares.

I can see why!

They are divine. If money wasn't an issue, one could pay someone to custom make them.

Someone needs to copy those for the modern gal! I love them.

I remember us living in Dallas when Titches was still in business--great fashion, but couldn't compete with Neimans!

Those shoes are made for comments. I bet everybody would have to say something about them.. can just imagine....wonder what the colour was....

Sal, I can see these on you too!

Trudy, I've always wanted a pair of custom made shoes. Wouldn't they be divine?

Sheila, I completely agree. There are a couple of shoe companies that do copies of 40s shoes. Hopefully they are listening!

Titches must have been divine!

Fairy, they were available in black, red, blue, suntan, and gray suede. I'll have one of each, please.

I am loving those shoes. I love them as much as I love my favorite pair of rainbow flip flops and that is a lot!

Oooh, rainbow flip flops! I just have black ones. Maybe I need to branch out a little.

Jody, I have them in just about every color, but then again I live close to the factory and get them 1/2 price. :)

Here in Boston, I can only wear them about 2 months out of the year, so one pair in black works just fine. Sigh....

Wow!

They're so timeless, they could've been made 50 or 5 years ago and would still be in style. The studding is so on trend too.

I wish they had been made 5 years ago. Then I would have a chance of finding a pair!
