Kate Winslet is nominated for her role in The Reader.
I think Kate would look great wearing the designs of Madeleine Vionnet from the 1930's.
Would you rather see Kate in this 1938 gold lamé sheath with a net overskirt embroidered in graduated gold lamé circles or....
...this 1936 white bias cut satin gown with its asymmetric one-shoulder design and line of rhinestone bows all the way down the side?Which would you choose?

My vote is for the gold lamé sheath with a net overskirt embroidered in graduated gold lamé circles. That dress looks amazing. I think it would look great after sitting down a while also and not crease as the biascut silk. ( I´m thinking about how the dress will look standing on stage receiving the award) By the way the dress would look so great on stage! And the award would be a real nice accessory.
The gold lamé ... I'd love to see that on Kate the Great.
Oh, I love that first one. How interesting but still so gorgeous.
Wow, what a great idea for a post! Gorgeous dresses x
Looks like we're unanimous with the gold lamé, as that is my favorite too. Kate needs a little sparkle!
